The gins from the Rugen Distillery are refined over a rock crystal, while the distillates from the Eiger Distillery are run over a stone from the north face of the Eiger, which dates back to the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The lower air pressure at altitude lowers the boiling point, which enables gentle distillation and preserves sensitive aromas better. The extended distillation time ensures a particularly fine refinement.
