In 2012, the boys' hostel was rebuilt at the Interlaken Ost site with the public restaurant. In recent years, the "hostel" has become a meeting place for locals as well as international tourists.
Neli and Ueli Zürcher and their team at Interlaken Youth Hostel and Restaurant 3a have been loyal customers of Rugenbräu for over 10 years and since the opening in 2012.
Zürchers had already come into contact with Rugenbräu beers in Zermatt. So it was clear that in the Bernese Oberland in Interlaken, they would also rely on the local beer.
Rugenbräu Lager, Spezial hell, Spezial dunkel, Zwickel, Harder, Amber Oberland, Weizen and non-alcoholic beers are served in bottles at the youth hostel and Restaurant 3a.In the winter months, the range is supplemented with the seasonal specialties. Not only beer and spirits are served by Rugenbräu at the Interlaken Youth Hostel, but also wine specialties from the Rugen Wy-Chäller.
Rugenbräu should maintain its innovative strength. Its own wheat beer is great and well accepted by consumers, but aginger beer from Rugenbräu would still be exciting.
