In 2007 Suzanne and Stefan Grossniklaus bought the Hotel Aspen. In 2012 the whole building complex was rebuilt and completely renovated.

Rugenbräu Spezial hell and Weizen are on tap by the glass. Rugenbräu Weizenbier is also available in half-liter bottles during the warm summer months. The range is rounded off with the naturally cloudy Zwickelbier and Rugenbräu Alkoholfrei. In the cold months, the seasonal Brewer's Edition No. 1 - "Eiszapfen" is on the menu at Aspen.
